Uh… Hey?

lmfao, IDK if anyone’s still here! But here’s some links if anyone wants to like…contact me or something. Taken directly from my newly-updated About page:

panonychus (LiveJournal); Honey☆ (Hello! Online); yoshimi (Perfume City BBS); fruitdays (Twitter); uchuustation (Last.fm)

So if anyone’s still around/getting feeds or something for this place which I so doubt, there’s all my contact information. :’D Yes I’m very bored, why did you ask?

Just stumbled on your blog via a random web search. Looks like you’re not doing much anymore but I’m having fun reading some of your old posts. Sorry you got so disgruntled with H!P, etc. but I can understand to an extent.

At any rate, you write well so I hope you find something that inspires you (whether music-related or otherwise) to keep blogging.

I read when you said you had once tried to write to get your words out there and I was disappointed that you had decided that was no longer worth it. Sorry I didn’t discover your blog in it’s heyday but I didn’t.

Just don’t quit. Write something…anything…one time just fucking kick it. You have a way with words and your voice is needed somewhere for something. Just don’t quit.

    Sincerely,
    clocutron

I have no idea if you’ll receive this reply (so glad WordPress finally implemented a reply function because it wasn’t here back when I was blogging!), but I want to say that I highly appreciate your comment and it’s pretty much one of the best I’ve received. I don’t know what else to say, to be honest — it just struck me as sincere and, quite frankly, amazing considering you randomly stumbled here.

      Thank you!

Wow, damn surprised you responded. Okay, here’s the story: I saw a picture that looked a bit strange and I wanted to find out if Suzuki Airi had her teeth fixed (would be a damn shame). A Google image search for “suzuki airi teeth” returns, as its first result, an image from your post “pictures can change a thousand minds.”

So, I started reading…and really couldn’t stop. It’s fantastic. I’ve read so many blogs of “X is crap!” and “Y is the greatest but Z sucks ass!” I’m sick of it. It was so refreshing to find somebody saying something about the j-pop I love. Yes, saying something meaningful, not just spouting tired crap and 1-10 ratings (or sometimes Y-N ratings). So I read that post, then another, then another…

There are some blogs I still like to read but I’m very selective. Most of what’s out there is generic, sterile, and downright meaningless. But to quote this blog (and likely part of the reason I got here in the first place), “I have a track record with Airi. I used to call her Osuzu and dote a little bit on her. I loved her fucked up teeth and ability to sing better than her peers at the time could. She was incredibly endearing to me, and really stood out…” You don’t read that at any of the mainstream blogs. Btw, I’m still that way about Airi but that’s another story.

Long story short, you did what the other pulp-artists didn’t do – you thought about it and wrote down your thoughts. I guess that’s why you got no readers and ultimately gave up? Because you didn’t tell them what to like? You expressed your true feelings about j-pop, what it means to you, how it influences your world. You didn’t tell them, track by track, to like or dislike an album so they went to whatever boilerplate review site would do so. Here, they could’ve found the tools to learn, to know, to experience…

Who the fuck wants that? Well, I guess I do…
