So there’s a new ℃-ute PV out.
I was initially very pessimistic about this upcoming single. For those of you not in the know, “LALALA Shiawase no Uta” was originally a mobile phone-only release featuring Morning Musume, Berryz, and ℃-ute singing the song together, but that sounded like shit. To find out ℃-ute would have this as their next single, frankly, did not thrill me at all, but now that I’ve heard a radio rip and seen the PV, I’ve warmed considerably to it. As with “Tokaikko Junjou”, Hirata Shouichirou arranged this one, and for some odd reason his arrangements always come out sounding DDR-esque. Even Berryz’s “Koi no Jubaku”, which was also arranged by Hirata, was much more slower than something like “LALALA”, bears this familiarity in sound. It’s nice to see someone who is creative and has consistency with his or her arrangements. I still maintain that Tsunku needs to get off his high horse and stop thinking he needs to write/compose every song to come from H!P and UFA should hire some new people to do that in his place, but will we see that happen? It’s unlikely.
